THE MAIN National Express telephone inquiries line (071-730 0202) is becoming badly overloaded. Not one of a dozen test calls at various times last Tuesday got through. The coach company is working on the problem and will be employing more staff for the summer peak season. In the meantime, National Express suggests that callers from outside the South-east check the local phone book for one of the 30 regional inquiry numbers. Or you can contact one of the 2,000 National Express local agents. The firm has established a special line (0345 010104) which directs customers to the nearest local line.
