I'm very much a Sagittarian – my bow is ready to let loose that arrow across the world. Because I always do panto, I do like to go straight to the sun after 12 performances a week. Mauritius, Mallorca, South Africa... My partner and I are lucky enough to have friends with boats and even aeroplanes. Given any opportunity to travel, I seize it. We were on the last voyage of the QE2 – I did two lectures – and the captain, an enchanting man, told me I had to get up at 5am to see Sydney as we sailed in at dawn. It was a magical sight.

One place I've never been is India. I'm planning a tour – to the Taj Mahal, and Mumbai of course. We can't let these terrorists stop us doing what we were going to. Then another good thing about travel is coming home. I always love getting back to Hackney.

Christopher Biggins is currently in Cinderella at the Mayflower Theatre in Southampton (02380 711 811, www.mayflower.org.uk).
