Detectives investigating the abuse of children at a nursery have arrested three more people, police said today.

Nottinghamshire Police said last month that they were investigating how three children who attended the Rocking Horse Nursery in Plumtree suffered broken bones.

Officers are also investigating a further allegation of sexual assault against a child.

Today, a spokeswoman for the force said: "Detectives investigating unexplained injuries suffered by children who have attended the Rocking Horse Nursery in Plumtree arrested three more people in connection with the inquiry on Sunday, October 4.

"All three have been questioned and released on police bail pending further inquiries."

The three arrested have not been questioned previously. So far, nine people have been questioned in all, three under caution and six under arrest.
