Teenager stable after Liverpool city centre shooting
A teenage boy was in a stable condition in hospital today after being shot in the leg, police said.
The 15-year-old was rushed to hospital by ambulance after being injured in Liverpool city centre last night.
A Merseyside Police spokesman said: "At about 9.30pm emergency services were called to Nelson Street to reports that shots had been fired.
"On arrival officers found a 15-year-old male with injuries to his leg."
He said the boy's condition was not thought to be life-threatening.
A cordon remained in place at the scene while a search was carried out and house-to-house inquires were being conducted, he added.
