Man arrested after three Britons die in road crash

A man aged 47 has been arrested in the Netherlands after the death of three British men in a car crash while travelling to the Belgium Grand Prix.

A man aged 47 has been arrested in the Netherlands after the death of three British men in a car crash while travelling to the Belgium Grand Prix.

The men, from Newtown, mid-Wales, were killed in the crash in the early hours of Saturday on the A16 road at Ridderkerk, near Rotterdam.

Dyfed-Powys police confirmed that the men, described as "avid motor-sport fans", had been on their way to the Belgium Grand Prixwhen the incident happened. They were named as Jonathan David Chandler, 28, Dean Alan Peter Andrews, 34, and Shaun Philip Williams, 28.

A police statement said information from Dutch police was that the car containing the three men was stationary when it was in collision from behind with another car.
