Four die in 'suspicious' hostel fire

Fire investigators and police were today trying to establish the cause of a fire at a hostel in which four people died.

West Midlands Fire Service said three men and a woman suffered fatal injuries at the Fairlawns Hotel in Birmingham after the blaze broke out yesterday evening.

West Midlands Police said the incident at the three-storey building in Hagley Road, Edgbaston, was being treated as suspicious.
