Britain will not be eligible to compete in this year's ATP World Team Championship because Tim Henman wants a week off to prepare for the French Open and the subsequent grass-court season in England. Eight teams are selected for the annual competition using the combined rankings of each nation's top two representatives. Britain will not be chosen without Henman because the No 3 player, Andrew Richardson, ranked 146, is too far down the world list.
