Los Angeles was alight with celebrities and superheroes on Monday evening to mark the world premiere for Avengers: Endgame .
The film is the 22nd addition to the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe and is largely based on its comic book superheroes.
Like its predecessors, Avengers: Endgame
Robert Downey Jr , Scarlett Johansson , Brie Larson , Chris Evans and Paul Rudd were just some of the actors in attendance at the glitzy premiere, which took place at the city’s Convention Centre.

Larson – who starred in the studio’s first female-led superhero flick, Captain Marvel – coordinated her outfit for the occasion by wearing a lilac gown that happened to neatly match the event's purple carpet.
Elsewhere, Johansson, who plays Black Widow in the film, injected a dose of classic Hollywood glamour in a strapless glittering gold gown.
Avengers: Endgame will be released in UK cinemas on 25 April.
