Tom Richell is Head of Multimedia for The Independent, running a global team of journalists and producers. In this role he leads on content and production for Independent TV, covering international news, lifestyle, culture and sport. In 2023 Independent TV has published a wide range of content, including feature-length documentary The Body in the Woods. In 2022 Tom was included in The Media Leader's 'Future 100 List', recognising talent in the media industry. Tom is now based in New York City, having begun his career in South Africa and worked for a decade as a journalist in the UK.
