Today is your final chance to join celebrities supporting our campaign to protect wildlife by snapping up an exclusive, highly collectable art print.

Art for Animals features the sale of two exclusive prints, one of an elephant and one of a leopard, created by world famous photographers, which raises funds for The Independent’s stop the illegal wildlife trade campaign

All profits go to The Independent’s charity partner, Space for Giants, which works to help to empower frontline law enforcers in stopping wildlife criminals and protect animals at risk.

The exclusive print sale ends at midnight tonight. You can buy the prints here

The fundraiser has been backed by stars including Lewis Hamilton, Rita Ora, Jack Whitehall, Derek Blasberg and Elizabeth Hurley, who have all called on their followers to show their support.

Seven-time Formula One champion Hamilton told his 21 million followers on Instagram: “It’s so important that we fight [to] protect our planet’s amazing wildlife. The illegal wildlife trade damages our environment and threatens endangered species. That’s why I’m supporting Art for Animals.”

Bestselling author Derek Blasberg's backed Hamilton’s call, saying “Lewis said it much better than I did”, before encouraging his followers to join in by buying one of the prints as a “feel-good gift” for Christmas.

The two images on sale in Art for Animals are a ‘big tusker’ elephant, taken by internationally renowned high art photographer David Yarrow, and the striking photograph of a leopard approaching water taken by photographer and filmmaker Adrian Steirn.

Prints of both images, which are signed and numbered on the reverse, have been released on a never-to-be-repeated limited run, which ends tonight, 8 December.

The Independent’s Stop The Illegal Wildlife Trade campaign was launched in early 2020 to help prevent future pandemics by protecting our planet and stopping the illegal wildlife trade.

Yarrow, whose wildlife images have appeared in every notable magazine worldwide, told The Independent: “there has never been a more critical time to protect wildlife, but the truth is there is never an uncritical time.

“Humankind’s legacy is that we have presided over the most unprecedented diminishment of our planet’s wildlife. That legacy has got to change.

“The only way to do that is by involving governments and working on the ground to protect endangered animals, both of which Space for Giants does."

Other stars who have supported Art for Animals include former Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts, actress Malin Akerman, model Suki Waterhouse, Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood and TV presenter Pips Taylor.
