NEW ZEALAND can reach the Cricket World Cup final by upsetting Pakistan in tomorrow's semi-final at Old Trafford. The vagaries of cricket are such that value is everything and, with an imperfect record in this tournament, Pakistan are no betting proposition at odds-on, while New Zealand are worth a nibble both to triumph in their semi and to go on and win the World Cup outright. Australia can eliminate South Africa at Edgbaston on Thursday. The Australians beat the same rivals at Headingley on Sunday.
