Enfield, the Diadora League champions who were denied promotion to the GM Vauxhall Conference when it ruled they could not meet its financial requirements, have had an appeal against the decision thrown out by the Football Association.

Charlton Athletic are to rename their south stand in memory of their greatest manager, Jimmy Seed. This year is the 100th anniversary of Seed's birth in County Durham.
