BOXING

Russia's Oleg Maskaev knocked out Hasim Rahman in a heavyweight fight on Saturday in Atlantic City, New Jersey, but the fighting did not end there. Maskaev, 30, of Moscow, rallied from early domination by the American and struck him on the head with an overhand right in the eighth round, knocking him backward through the ropes and out of the ring. When Rahman landed on a scorer's table someone threw a chair into the ringside seats, triggering a 10-minute melee involving dozens of spectators and security guards.
