Dan Marino, the Miami quarterback, was forced to watch the closing stages of his side's 23-10 victory over Pittsburgh from the sidelines after being flattened by a tackle from the Eagles' Greg Lloyd. The hit came with about 2min 30sec left in the third quarter and no penalty was called.

Drew Bledsoe, the New England quarterback, suffered a slight separation of the left shoulder in Sunday's 28-3 loss to San Francisco but is expected to be available for the Patriots' next game in two weeks against Atlanta.
