THE ADVENT of two new Major League franchises, the Florida Marlins and the Colorado Rockies, has prompted a restructuring of the National League for 1993. The Atlanta Braves and the Cincinnati Reds will swap over to the NL East, while the Chicago Cubs and the St Louis Cardinals move in the opposite direction to the NL West. The Marlins will play in the East, the Rockies in the West.
