BUTCH REYNOLDS, the 400 metres world record-holder, won his second 400m of the weekend in the Mobil indoor meeting at Fairfax, Virginia, on Sunday. He also won on Friday in New York, on his return to the track after the expiry on 31 December of his ban for a positive drug test in 1990. His time in Fairfax was 45.89 seconds, compared to 47.16 in New York.

EAMONN MARTIN, the British record- holder over 10,000 metres, will make his marathon debut in the NutraSweet London Marathon on Sunday 18 April.

LINFORD CHRISTIE, Britain's Olympic 100 metres champion, will make his first track appearance of the year when he runs the 100m at the Sugar Games in Adelaide on Sunday. Christie, who has been training in Sydney for six weeks with the Welsh hurdler, Colin Jackson, has not competed since winning the World Cup 100m in Havana in September.
