Newcastle pair Micky Ward and Chris Pilgrim have signed new contracts with the Guinness Premiership club.
Veteran prop Ward, 31, has made over 250 appearances for the Falcons over the last 11 seasons and has agreed a one-year extension to his contract at Kingston Park.
Scrum-half Pilgrim, 24, has signed a new two-year deal after making eight first-team appearances since joining on trial from Nottingham last summer.
Director of rugby Steve Bates said: "Everyone knows what a great club man Micky Ward is, and it is fantastic news that he has signed on for another year with us.
"He brings vast Guinness Premiership experience to the table, he remains a strong scrummager and his attitude behind the scenes is an example to all aspiring players.
"We are also delighted that Chris Pilgrim has signed up for two more years.
"Chris has impressed us greatly since arriving on trial last summer, he is a tough competitor and a quick learner who has adapted well to Guinness Premiership rugby.
"Both players have backed the ambition being shown by the club in pledging their futures here, we are in talks with others regarding recruitment and retention and the squad is gradually starting to shape up well for next season."
