Rochdale Hornets have sacked their coach, Steve Gibson, after taking just one point from their first six games of the First Division season.
The Wigan chairman, Jack Robinson, and his fellow-director, John Martin, appeared at Wigan Magistrates' Court yesterday, charged with conspiracy to defraud the Wigan Observer newspaper. The case was adjourned until 12 June.
