Racing: Vulture swoops in Italy
THE decision of Chris Wright to keep his filly Culture Vulture in training reaped a major dividend when his four-year-old won the Group 2 43,331 Premio Emilio Turati in the hands of Richard Quinn at San Siro, Milan yesterday.
Culture Vulture, who was such an unlucky loser of the Lockinge Stakes first time out at Newbury, beat Prospective Ruler by a neck with the other British raider, John Dunlop's Ventiquattrofogli (Willie Carson), a length back in third.
Her trainer, Paul Cole, has the Group 2 John Roarty International Stakes at The Curragh on 27 June next on her agenda.
