Racing: Treble for Dunwoody
ADRIAN MAGUIRE, who aggravated a neck injury in a fall on Saturday, was passed fit to ride by the course doctor at Newton Abbot yesterday, but had his lead in the jump jockeys' championship further reduced by Richard Dunwoody.
Maguire scored once but a treble for Dunwoody cut the gap between them to 16 and shrank the odds against him retaining his title to 6-4 (from 7-4). Maguire is 1-2 from 2-5.
At the same meeting, Norman Williamson received a two-day ban for misuse of the whip on Going Around in the first division of the bumper.
