PRESS GALLERY, a three-year-old sprinter trained by Julie Cecil at Newmarket, displayed the benefit of an unorthodox preparation when winning the North Walsham Handicap at Yarmouth yesterday.
The colt, who went clear to beat Cape Weaver by two-and-a-half lengths, had developed a reputation in the yard as a character. So Mrs Cecil sent Press Gallery schooling over hurdles to reawaken the colt's enthusiasm for racing.
