Racing: Dues `unlucky'
Early bunching which forced Harbour Dues to come from well off the pace may have cost him victory, the jockey Ray Cochrane said after the British challenger's fast-finishing fourth in the yesterday's Melbourne Cup.
"There was a lot of scrimmaging in the straight the first time round," Cochrane said.
Frankie Dettori, rider of the Queen's Arabian Story, who finished sixth, said the grey could get closer to success if he ran in the Cup in 1998.
