While the French could not muster a challenger for either Epsom Classic, Britain sends three, Matiya, Solar Crystal and Sil Sila, to Chantilly tomorrow for the Prix de Diane (French Oaks). Matiya, the Ben Hanbury- trained Irish 1,000 Guineas winner, rates the chief hope of upsetting French contenders Luna Wells and Miss Tahiti in the 10-furlong contest.

n The David Loder-trained, Julie Krone-ridden South Salem is 30-1 for today's Belmont Stakes in New York, third leg of the US Triple Crown.
