Racing: A weekly list of horses to follow
FINAL APPEARANCE: the maiden races at Newmarket's October meetings invariably throw up prospects for the Classics and this son of Sadler's Wells fits into that category after a debut fourth to stable-companion Court Of Honour on Tuesday. Squeezed inside the final furlong and eased once his chance had gone, he is booked to reappear in a similar event back at Headquarters or at Newbury. (P Chapple-Hyam).
VERZEN: made an encouraging debut on Thursday when second to the highly regarded Painter's Row at Newmarket. Ran on strongly and narrowed the winning margin to a neck. 'Very babyish', according to his trainer, the son of Salse is 40-1 for next year's 2,000 Guineas. (D Loder).
