Schumacher's brotherly love?
There was probably a touch of whimsy in a reflection on the weekend's sport which came on breakfast television. Even so, it was stunningly romantic.
Maybe Michael Schumacher had eased back, perhaps subliminally, as his brother, Ralf, took the flag at the Canadian Grand Prix. There were two possible motives: brotherly love and a desire to preserve an element of intrigue in the world drivers' title race now that David Coulthard's McLaren is turning into an instrument of mental torture.
Both ideas are non-starters. They are built on the false premise that Michael has something other than ice running through his veins.
