John Kluge, one of the investors in the proposed Major League Soccer, at $5.9bn was the wealthiest person in sport, according to a list in Forbes magazine. Among sports figures Gianni Agnelli, who owns the Italian football champions Juventus, is at $3.3bn, and Silvio Berlusconi, the former Italian premier who owns Milan, is at $2.5bn.
