SANDY LISTER, the former England captain, retired at the beginning of the season to concentrate on coaching but she is expected to return on Sunday to an Ipswich squad, missing their two Great Britain players, for the match away to Clifton in the third round of the EHA Cup, writes Bill Colwill.

First, however, Lister will be in charge of tomorrow's vital league game against Canterbury, which will include their Britain players, Leisa King and Lorraine Catchpole. Tracy Fry, who played half a game last weekend after returning from injury, is also expected to play in a full Canterbury squad. Donna Mills, the manager, said: "Although Canterbury have had the odd hiccup they are a good side and we know that Clifton are dogged cup fighters."

Leicester, the current leaders, are likely to be without their injured captain, Jo Mould, when they visit Olton, while Hightown expect to have Carolyn Reid back in goal against Chelmsford.
