Millward outlines doomsday scenario for desperate Leigh

The Leigh coach, Ian Millward, has warned that the club could fold unless it finds new finance. Millward was speaking after the Championship leaders' first league defeat of the season, 36-16 at home to Halifax.

He denied that the club's money worries had got to the players, who were all paid this week, but said that there were real doubts about the future.

"Unless some new directors come in, there might not be a club," he said. Leigh's chairman, Arthur Thomas, and chief executive, Allan Rowley, have both resigned over the last two weeks.

Lamont Bryan, meanwhile, has played himself back into contention at Harlequins. The locally produced utility player was sent out on loan to the London Skolars and has shown such good form there that he has been recalled to Quins' squad for today's match against Bradford.

His inclusion, in place of Mark Calderwood, is Rob Powell's only change as Quins try to end a depressing run of 10 games without a win.

The Bulls ended their own dismal run by beating Salford last week and they have Marc Herbert and Michael Platt available after missing that match. Danny Addy and James Donaldson also return, but Paul Sykes and Ian Sibbit are out.

The Catalan Dragons coach, Trent Robinson, has made the big decision to leave Thomas Bosc out of the squad to face Wigan in Montpellier today. Bosc is two matches into his comeback from a leg injury, but Robinson believes he is still short of match fitness.

Cyril Stacul, Remi Casty and Ben Farrar are also ruled out, but Super League's senior citizen, Steve Menzies, returns.

The Catalans have a record of troubling Wigan, whose coach, Michael Maguire, says they will be wary of them this evening. "They are a team that will chance their arm and throw the ball around," he said. "We need to be ready for that."

Wigan will be without their prop, Andy Coley, for three weeks following minor knee surgery and Stefan Marsh takes his place in the squad which has travelled to France.

The big game tomorrow is on Humberside, where Hull KR host Hull in the derby. The city's two clubs could well be competing for one play-off spot, so this latest episode in their rivalry is likely to be as hard-fought as ever.

Rovers, who have re-signed back-row forward Jason Netherton until 2013, are without both Jake Webster and Joel Clinton with shoulder injuries, but the influential Clint Newton returns.
