Wakefield's inspirational prop Michael Korkidas has been cleared to play in their make-or-break fixture at Bradford on Friday after escaping suspension on a head-butting charge.

The Australian was sent off at St Helens last weekend, but that was ruled to be sufficient punishment at a disciplinary hearing last night. Wakefield will be relegated from Super League is they lose at Odsal.

It could be next week before a decision is made on the immediate future of Paul Sculthorpe. The St Helens and Great Britain captain has had scans on the knee injury which has plagued him for a year, but Saints want him to see other specialists before deciding whether he can play on.
