Rowing: Coode and James selected

Tom James, the young Cambridge oarsman, will stroke the British eight in its first appearance of the season at the World Cup in Munich on 20-22 June. Ed Coode, world champion in coxless fours in 1999 and 2001, has also gained a place in the boat after more than a year out with a shoulder injury.

The other six members all rowed in last year's crew which finished sixth in the world championships. A substitute will row in Munich for Oxford's Robin Bourne-Taylor.
