Racing: Record entry in pursuit of Gold Cup

With the reigning Cheltenham Gold Cup winner, Kicking King, out of action, every horse with four sound legs and a pulse has been entered for this year's renewal on 17 March. A record 64 entries were unveiled yesterday, including the leading novice chasers Darkness and The Listener. Celestial Gold is the horse ascending in the betting after positive comments by his owner, David Johnson.
