Frost could pose a threat to one or two of today's remaining four meetings as Larkhill was abandoned last night and the Harkaway Club at Chaddesley Corbett and the Vale Of Clettwr both hold morning inspections at 8.30.

The Mid Devon at Black Forest Lodge, near Exeter, looks certain to go ahead as the overnight temperature in south Devon is forecast to drop no lower than -1 and the course has been watered to ensure good ground.

Welsh raider Longstone Boy will take some beating in the ladies open (1.00) as he wound up last season by winning a hunter-chase at Ludlow.

Last season's Aintree Foxhunters' winner Katarino (men's open 1.00) is among the near 300 entries at Chaddesley Corbett where Saint Reverin can follow up his men's open win in the Club Members (11.30).
