Cricket: Stellar performances from Nathan Hauritz and Ryan Harris helped Australia claim their fourth consecutive one-day international victory, by 135 runs, over Pakistan at the WACA Ground yesterday.

Hauritz scored a career-best unbeaten 53 off 39 balls as Australia recovered from a sedate start to make 277 for 8 off their 50 overs. The spinner received support from Michael Hussey, who made a solid 67.

Harris, playing in just his third ODI, then took centre stage in Pakistan's run chase, earning the man-of-the-match award as his return of 5 for 19 helped bowl out the visitors for 142 to give Australia a 4-0 series lead with one match remaining.

Paerson races to victory in familiar surroundings

Skiing: Sweden's Anja Paerson rediscovered her touch at a course that is special to her, winning a World Cup super-combined in St Moritz, Switzerland, yesterday. In doing so, Paerson earned her first win of the season on the Corviglia piste, where she now has four World Cup victories. Lindsey Vonn of the United States was third, building on her lead in the overall standings. Paerson completed her combined super-G and slalom runs in 2 minutes 0.54 seconds.
