Emily Baldwin held the advantage on Drivetime after the first day of dressage at the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials, where the 28-year-old Briton is 1.5pts ahead of last year's British Open champions, Ruth Edge and Mayhem III.

Jo May is lying 2.9 further back in third place on Faere Vision. This is Baldwin's third appearance at Badminton and her second with Pauline Harris's 13-year-old gelding, who was 25th last year.

Zara Phillips is lying in 35th place on her first mount, Ardfield Magic Star, but she will be looking to be up with the leaders when she rides her world champion, Toytown, this afternoon.
