Tyson Fury says that Billy Joe Saunders‘ appearance on the KSI vs Logan Paul undercard is a ‘great opportunity’ for him to find some American exposure.

Fury is just days away from his second fight of 2019, where he takes on unbeaten Swedish talent Otto Wallin at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, having beaten German Tom Schwarz in his first fight since signing an £80 million mega deal with Top Rank and ESPN.

Victory over Wallin will ensure that Fury heads into his next fight – already signed and agreed for 22 February with WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder, with his record intact at 30 fights, 29 victories and just one draw.

Meanwhile, stablemate Saunders has yet to fight since winning the WBO super-middleweight belt against Shefat Isufi back in May, but is set to get out in November on the undercard KSI and Paul.

With the two YouTube stars novices in the professional game, with KSI only having two professional fights and Paul just one, criticism from within the boxing industry and media alike has been rife.

Fury, however, believes it’s a good opportunity for the world champion to get some US exposure.

“I don’t really look into it too much,” Fury told IFL TV.

“Billy wants to get out and stay busy. It’s a great opportunity for him to do it here in America on DAZN.”

It’s believed that more than 1.3 million pay-per-views were purchased for the first bout on YouTube, with a number of broadcasters jumping at the opportunity to promote the fight which could see a record number of subscribers join DAZN’s platform.

Saunders is not the only fighter who has expressed an interest on fighting on the undercard, with young talent Devin Haney set to appear on the card if he beats Zaur Abdullaev and suffers no injury.
