Denmark were held to a 1-1 draw by Australia in the second game of their World Cup campaign on Thursday.

Christian Eriksen put the Danes ahead after seven minutes, capping off a well-worked passage of play with a stunning close-range half-volley.

But Denmark were unable to hold on to their lead, with Australia's Mile Jedinak converting from the spot once again following intervention from VAR seven minutes before the break.

Both sides toiled to find a winner after the restart but were ultimately made to share the spoils.
