Paul Pogba transfer: Stormzy accidentally confirms midfielder's world-record Manchester United sale
The grime artist quickly deleted a video showing him wear a Pogba jersey
Paul Pogba returning to Manchester United has been the worst kept secret of the summer transfer window; but no one could have predicted it would have announced by UK-grime sensation Stormzy.
On Monday evening, the rapper posted a promotional Adidas video featuring Pogba dancing to his freestyle ‘Nigo Duppy’.
The advert ends with Stormzy revealing Pogba’s name on the back of his United jersey.
The video was quickly removed from his Facebook page, prompting suggestions the announcement had been accidentally leaked.
Three hours later, Adidas posted the video on Twitter, describing Pogba and Stormzy as “the new young kings of Man Utd”.
