Memphis Depay has refused to rule out leaving Manchester United in January, with Everton strongly tipped to sign the winger.

The winger scored twice on Sunday night during the Netherlands’ 3-1 win over Luxembourg, his first goals for either club or country since February this year.

Depay scored a strong header before doubling his tally with a free-kick – something he was known for during his PSV Eindhoven days.

The 22-year-old’s opportunities have been limited under Jose Mourinho this season, with the likes of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial ahead of him in the pecking order, but Depay’s double-salvo came only hours after Everton manager Ronald Koeman confirmed his interest in him.

And after the game, Depay admitted he is unsure about what the future holds.

“I do not know, we’ll have to see,” he said.

“I focus on United, I do my very best to be able to get minutes. I’m going back to United with a good feeling because I have got minutes here [on international duty] and we won. That is the most important thing.”

The Dutchman was left out of United’s Europa League squad for the trip to Fenerbahce, as well as the victory over Swansea that followed.

Depay has been linked with linking up with former coach Dick Advocaat at Fenerbahce but Koeman admitted to Dutch television that he is interested in having his compatriot at Goodison Park.

“I would like to have him,” Koeman told Fox Sports Netherlands.

“I think he is an interesting player. He has great individual qualities. He just needs to play games.”

Everton’s Twitter account also hinted at signing the player on Sunday night, by posting about how Depay was playing for Holland.
