Reports emerging from Italy today have claimed that Lazio are braced for an "imminent" bid from Manchester United for Felipe Anderson, after lowering their asking price for the attacking midfielder to £36m.

The Brazilian has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent seasons, and Gazzetto dello Sport have reported today a bid of £36m will be accepted by the Serie A club.

The report adds that Lazio have already found their replacement for Anderson - Stephan El Shaarawy. The 23-year-old is currently on loan at Monaco from AC Milan.

The 22-year-old Anderson notched 11 goals in all competitons for Lazio last season but he has yet to replicate that kind of form this term, scoring five goals in 23 appearances in all competitions.

Anderson has won one cap for Brazil at full international level - playing the final seven minutes of a 2-0 friendly win over Mexico earlier this year.

He moved to Lazio from Santos for around £5m in the summer of 2013.
