Arturo Vidal to Chelsea: Bayern Munich midfielder 'very happy' in Germany despite Antonio Conte link

Arturo Vidal has again stated he is happy at Bayern Munich despite mounting speculation that he is a top summer target for Chelsea.

Incoming manager Antonio Conte enjoyed a brilliant relationship with the Chilean during his three-year tenure at Juventus, Vidal a key player in three Serie A title wins.

Vidal has previously spoken about his admiration for the Italian - stating "I have also said if I go to war I would take Conte with me" - but has now attempted to play down talk that a move to London is on the cards.

"I am very happy here. I have to think about my family and I still have time on my contract," Vidal told Chilean radio station BioBio.

Vidal scored the only goal of the game in the first leg of Bayern's Champions League quarter-final first leg win against Benfica.

The tenacious midfielder has been a key player for Pep Guardiola's team this season, scoring four goals and adding seven assists.

The 28-year-old midfielder only arrived in Germany at the start of the season and still has more than three years to run on his contract.

Bought for £31million, he would cost Chelsea at least that much if the Blues wanted to sign him for next season.

"There are no doubts over Vidal's quality," Guardiola said after the Benfica win.

"When we have many great players in the offensive department, I have to limit it slightly. He can easily do the work in front of the defence because he is a tough and smart guy."
