Rangers took their revenge on Kilmarnock with a 6-1 victory at Ibrox yesterday. The Rugby Park side are the only club other than Celtic to have taken a point from Alex McLeish's men this season when they held Rangers to a draw on the opening day of the season. But the Ibrox outfit ensured there would be no repeat when Michael Mols and Barry Ferguson each scored twice and Ronald de Boer and Craig Moore also scored to claim an easy three points, despite Stevie Fulton's consolation goal.

Grant Brebner's 70th-minute strike after poor defending by Phil McGuire carried Hibernian to fourth with a 1-0 over Aberdeen.

Berti Vogts, meanwhile, said his present job would be his last in football – but he has not ruled out extending his current contract. The Scotland manager's deal expires in 2006.
