Tottenham are set to travel to Hong Kong immediately after the Premier League season finishes for a money-spinning post-season tour.

Spurs, currently second in the Premier League, will jet off to the Far East after the league's final day on May 21 for a friendly with local team Kitchee SC on May 26.

The move is unlikely to please everyone at the club with internationals, most notably England's World Cup qualifying clash with Scotland, taking place just a fortnight later on June 10.

But with interest in the Premier League continuing to rise and commercial opportunies to be capitalised upon Harry Kane and Co. will make the trip before their summer break.

"We are delighted to accept the invitation to return to Hong Kong to play against one of their top clubs Kitchee SC and play our part in the anniversary celebrations," manager Mauricio Pochettino told the club's official website.

"We are aware of our growing popularity across Asia. This latest visit represents a great chance for us to engage with our loyal fans in the region and thank them for their fantastic support and the commitment they make to watching us at any hour of the day or night.

"It promises to be a fantastic experience for all the staff and players, some whom will be visiting Hong Kong for the first time, and a great way to conclude what has been an exciting season for the club."

This will not be the first time Spurs have conducted such a tour at the end of a season - they went to Malaysia and Asia in 2015 while also going to the Bahamas, Mauritius and the United States in recent years.

The club begin the pre-season tour at the end of the July when they will travel to the US for matches with PSG, Roma and Manchester City.
