Roberto Mancini has made finding a new striker a priority this summer after admitting Manchester City's lack of goals has cost them the Premier League title.

City were left goalless on their travels for the sixth time in the league this season after drawing another blank at the Liberty Stadium. There is little disgrace in being held by Swansea but Mancini believes it has become a recurring theme that has undermined the defence of their title.

This time last year City had scored 24 more goals than the modest 61 they have managed this term. "There are some years that are difficult when you don't score enough goals to win the Premier League," Mancini said. We are missing more than 20 goals from last year and that is too many. Had we scored another 10 or 12 goals it would have been enough to fight for the title." Sergio Aguero, Eden Dzeko and Carlos Tevez – worth a combined £90m – failed to score and Dzeko's glaring miss from barely six yards against Swansea summed up the former champions' season. Samir Nasri and David Silva were also guilty of failing to capitalise from close range.

Yaya Touré is a concern for the FA Cup Final after failing to appear for the second half with a hamstring problem and is unlikely to face West Bromwich Albion tomorrow night.

City will continue to monitor Scott Sinclair, who was said to be in a "comfortable" condition in hospital after a blood cot was found in his shoulder last Friday. Sinclair missed the return to the Liberty Stadium but could be set to rejoin Swansea just 10 months after his £6.5m move to City. Swansea midfielder Leon Britton said: "The players would welcome him back tomorrow. He was a big part in getting us into the Premier League and in staying up."
