We've got the views of Gary Purvis - editor of LFC online.

But how was it for you? Comment at the bottom of this article and have your say on your team's season.

Who has been your best player this season?

Fernando Torres. Under pressure to deliver, he’s done it in style.

Who would you be glad to see the back of?

Harry Kewell. Spent most of season on the treatment table.

What was your best performance?

The 4-2 Champions League quarter-final second leg against Arsenal. The “never say die” attitude kicked in.

And the worst?

Losing to Barnsley in the FA Cup. Bad tactics on the day let us down.

Who have been your toughest opponents?

Has to be Man Utd. We were unfortunate in both games, but they were good enough to punish us.

Best player faced?

Didier Drogba caused us problems.

Funniest/most bizarre moment of the season?

Steven Gerrard grabbing the ball from Avram Grant, and in doing so pushing him back into the dugout.

Your perfect, but realistic signing?

Valencia's David Silva is top of Rafa Benitez’s list – as long as he’s not overpriced.

Any reasons to be cheerful going into next season?

We ended on a high, secured fourth and will look to go all the way to Rome in the Champions League.

Reasons to be gloomy?

Ownership issues still threaten to disrupt the club. Expect changes at the top.

Who will you support in Euro 2008?

Obvious answer is Spain. Torres will set the tournament alight.

Overall assessment of your manager?

Benitez has made some very strange tactical changes which have often backfired, but hopefully he is learning.

And overall assessment of your team?

A disappointing Premier League season, with Liverpool unable to keep pace with the top three. More consistency and a few more big signings are needed if we are to challenge next term.

Marks out of 10?
