More than 250,000 fans turned out to watch Arsenal's victory parade from Highbury to Islington Town Hall yesterday.

The Gunners' manager, Arsène Wenger, thanked the fans for their support while members of his first-team squad held the Premiership trophy aloft in turns.

The Frenchman said Ruud van Nistelrooy's penalty miss at Manchester United in September and the 4-2 comeback victory at home to Liverpool in April were the key points in the unbeaten Premiership season.

"The key for us was quality play and our attitude. In any job consistency is a sign of quality. I don't believe in miracles. I believe in good quality of work."
