Juventus full-back Alex Sandro has declared that he has ‘a desire to play in the Premier League’.

Sandro has already attracted interest from English clubs in the past with both Manchester City and Chelsea believed to have made enquiries for the Brazilian in the last 18 months.

“I think, one day, who knows what will happen,” the 27-year-old said on Monday.

“I have a desire to play in the Premier League but right now I am very happy where I am at, the club I am at [Juventus], the league I am playing in.”

Sandro is currently in London with the Brazil squad who drew 0-0 at the Emirates on against Uruguay and face Cameroon tonight at the Stadium MK.

Antonio Conte was believed to be have come closest to signing Sandro during his tenure at Chelsea, but Manchester City reportedly sent a scout to watch the left-back last month when Juventus took on Manchester United. Real Madrid are also mooted to be interested in a potential swap-deal involving Marcelo.

However, Sandro made sure to clarify that was not pushing for a move away from Juventus, where he has won three successive Serie A titles, despite stoking such speculation.

“Today my only thought is to continue where I am because that’s where I feel happy.”
