Fifa corruption live: Sepp Blatter tries to shift attention to Uefa and says he expects more from US investigators

Blatter is addressing the world's media after yesterday's victory over Jordan's Prince Ali bin Hussein

Sepp Blatter is facing the media after being elected Fifa president for the fifth time despite a week which saw the organisation mired by corruption arrests.

Mr Blatter was re-elected on a majority of 133 to 73 over Prince Ali bin al-Hussein of Jordan. This was not enough to meet the required two-thirds majority, but Mr Hussein withdrew from the race before a second round of voting began.

In a bizarre acceptance speech, Mr Blatter said: "I was a little bit nervous today, but now I am the president of everybody. I am the president of the whole Fifa. This game is important, but more important [is to] enjoy life."

Two separate criminal investigations are now under way – one in Switzerland and one in the US – into allegations of corruption within Fifa stretching back 20 years.
