Arsenal and Tottenham players appear in video on Leeds protest site saying 'Time to go Massimo'

Arsenal and Tottenham players have appeared in a bizarre video online that sees Jack Wilshere, Mesut Özil, Harry Kane and Dele Alli repeat the phrase “Time to go, Massimo” in an apparent show of faith with the Leeds United supporters group that wants club owner Massimo Cellino to leave Elland Road.

The fan group Time To Go Massimo have protested against the controversial Italian after growing deeply unhappy with his running of the Championship club, and have paid for protests such as a mock funeral and anti-Cellino banners to be put up around Elland Road and Leeds city centre.

Cellino has appointed six different head coaches during his two-year reign at the club and is currently appealing a second Football League disqualification after a tax evasion charge in Italy meant that he failed the Football League Owners’ and Directors’ Test.

The video appeared on Twitter page @WhiteLeedsSite but while the video clearly shows Wilshere, Özil, Kane and Alli saying the protest motto, it is not known if they knew who it was about or how the footage would be used.

The Twitter page also displays from other celebrities including comedy duo Ant and Dec and Eastenders actor Adam Woodyatt – who plays Ian Beale in the BBC soap – repeating the same phrase.

The video of Wilshere, Özil, Kane and Alli has already been retweeted more than 2,000 times.
