Mesut Ozil enjoys watching Schalke vs Real Madrid - the Arsenal man's two former teams
German posts thumbs up picture on Twitter
Mesut Ozil tweeted his excitement as he watched two of his former teams meet in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
The Arsenal midfielder was taking in the Round of 16 first-leg tie between Real Madrid and Schalke.
The World Cup winner started his career with the German side before breaking into the first-team in 2006. He then switched to Real Madrid via a two-year spell at Werder Bremen.
It was during his time at the Bernabeu that Ozil established himself as among the most gifted players in Europe - so much so Arsenal were willing to write a cheque for £42.5m to bring him to the Emirates in 2013.
Despite now being a Gooner, Ozil clearly still holds a candle for his former teams judging by the two-thumbs up display in front of a giant TV screen showing the match.
Ozil is likely to next be in action himself this weekend when Arsenal play Crystal Palace.
