Ruud Gullit says he is looking forward to the challenge of leading Terek Grozny after being unveiled as the Russian club's new manager.

The former Netherlands midfielder believes sport can provide relief from the problems endured in the capital of the war-torn southern Russian republic of Chechnya. "I'm here for the sport, not the politics," he said. "Football brings joy. It's a fun challenge to get people to embrace football. If I can make people happy, I'm happy."
